Welcome to ISR Swim & Strokes Aledo!

Give your child the competence, confidence, and skills of aquatic safety with ISR Self-Rescue.

What is ISR?

Infant Swimming Resource (ISR) is the safest and most effective provider of survival swimming lessons worldwide, teaching ISR Self-Rescue skills to children ages 6 months to 6 years old. With more than 55 years of research and experience and the highest safety standards in the industry, ISR can deliver the best survival swimming instruction in the world today. The result? Over 19 million safe and effective lessons delivered, providing children with a foundation for safety and a lifetime of fun in and around the water.

Today, our mission, “Not One More Child Drowns,” is the foundation of everything we do. ISR believes in multiple layers of protection against aquatic accidents, which include pool fences, alarms, and active adult supervision. However, traditional lines of defense break down, and the over 4,000 drowning deaths per year bear a grim testament to the fact that traditional approaches are missing a key component: the child. ISR’s core conviction is that the child is essential to a drowning prevention strategy. Our over 450,000 ISR graduates and hundreds of documented survival stories prove that children can and do save themselves. Children are curious, capable, and have an uncanny ability to overcome obstacles like pool fences; at ISR, we take that ability and teach them skills to potentially save themselves if they find themselves in the water alone.

Meet Your Instructor

Hi & welcome! My name is Haley Robbins! I'm super excited to get the opportunity to work with your children this spring and summer!

My love for the water and my desire for every child to love the water but, most of all, be safe in the water has fueled my passion and love for teaching. I have taught traditional Swimming Lessons almost every summer since 2001 in Ruston, Louisiana, Southlake & Fort Worth. I have a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Louisiana Tech University, which has prepared me for my next career step of becoming ISR Certified.

I'm originally from the Deep South and have lived in Fort Worth since 2009. My husband Norm was born and raised in Fort Worth. We have three beautiful blonde-headed boys, Wynn (8), Camp(5), and Sully(2).

Growing up spending our summers on the Emerald Coast of Florida and in the pool in our backyard, my parents gifted me the chance to learn to swim very early in my toddler years. As soon as I was 15 and able to take the American Lifeguard Certification course, I spent every summer throughout college lifeguarding and teaching a majority of the children in Ruston, Louisiana, how to swim!

Once my oldest was born in 2015, allowing Wynn to swim before he could walk was my top priority. Both Wynn & Camp did traditional swimming lessons and were quite successful, but they were not skilled in survival swim. Along came Sully, and in the summer of 2021, he turned 1. I knew I needed more security, water safety, and more "tools" in my pool bag with a crawling 1-year-old, a new independent and fearless 4-year-old, and a social fish of a 6-year-old with the love of the High Dive. Enter Kelsey Strieby, ISR Fort Worth, to calm all my worries and introduce me to the world of ISR. As I was sitting poolside week 2, I began to ask ALL.THE.QUESTIONS to understand this "magic" or "witchery," as I fondly called it. By week 4, I was filling out initial paperwork and scheduling interviews with ISR. Shortly, a few short hours after my second interview, my acceptance into the program call came! When I was in the middle of this process, I felt like this was a "God Thing."... things just clicked, doors opened, and honestly, God did say "Yes, but not right now" on a few occasions. Now that I sit on the other side of training, I can see God's hand in every single detail of this Journey. And you know what's really cool? I'm seeing God continue to work through this career path He has laid out for me.

Thank you for being a part of this Journey. I look forward to helping your child transform into an aquatic problem solver. I love meeting new people, educating others about drowning prevention, and watching my students develop confidence in themselves as swimmers.

With a love for the water, a passion for small children, and making a difference in my community, I am beyond thrilled to offer ISR here in West Fort Worth, Aledo, & Weatherford! I look forward to teaching your child and working together to ensure that "not one more child drowns!"

I look forward to meeting and getting to know each of you, and I'll see YOU in the water!
